Contemporary Themes is where i learned a lot about myself and others around me. This class has shown me a new perspective on people and on life. This class is deep and not like many other classes out there. In this class, there are no rules. This class makes us realize that we are adults and can't be told what to do or how to act. We really do learn who we are from this class.
One of the assignments that stood out to me this year was our project on gay rights. This project consisted of my fellow classmate group members and myself. As a group, we formed a think tank and stood up for gay rights. We learned a lot about the gay community and how they feel. This project turned out well and made me realize that everyone is equal. Whether you're gay or straight you deserve equality and peace.
Another assignment we had during this class was a project about bullying. This project was also a project i worked on with my group members. In this project, we evaluated the causes and effects of bullying. This project was significant because many students my age can relate to this topic. We also taught others how to help and stop bullying when it happens. This project taught me that anyone can make a difference in someone's life.
